Daily Note (12th August 2026)
Admin day today - putting together the IfA computing survey, and talking to my financial admin to set up things for my office. Computers are way too expensive right now (cries in DDR4). What do I do in my office all day? Talk to people?
Highlights: Npr was invited to be part of a show called kaleidoscope, which has a really interesting premise: the invited improvisers form 3 groups, all of whom get the same suggestion and then do their take on it. The show was really fun, and all three sets had fantasy elements to them, including a magical man who would fetch you any book you wanted, horny salmon, and storks being absolute menaces. Also, I go watch my first improv show at Hawaii tomorrow (storms notwithstanding...)!
